- I am a journalist, writer & broadcaster, based in the U.K. I am the author of 'Stranger than Fiction', a biography of Edgar Wallace, available here http://goo.gl/o2cZze , 'Champion Jump Horse Racing Jockeys 1945 to Present Day' and 'Flying Ace'. I am strongly opposed to the neo-con war agenda -and believe in the urgent necessity of a left-right anti-war coalition. On domestic issues I support re-nationalisation of the railways and public utilities (I co-founded of The Campaign for Public Ownership), free care for the elderly, a free NHS including the restoration of NHS dentistry, and protection of the Green Belt and the countryside. I and many of my friends and family are Russian speakers. But above all we are Ukrainian! If people want Russian rule than go to Russia. The days when national outcomes are produced behind closed doors by foreign powers is past. Leave Ukraine to Ukrainians.
