The Saudi-owned "news" channel al-Arabiya aired in its show "al-Hadath" (the Event) a report showing captured fighters from al-Qaeda's "Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL). Then al-Arabiya made the mistake of showing, in one of the interviews with one of the fighters captured by the "Free Syrian Army" (FSA), him responding to a question as to why his group monitors the movements of the Western-backed FSA by stating that those were orders coming from the leadership of ISIL, specifically from Prince Abdul Rahman al-Faisal, who is the son of late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and the brother of current Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal.

#London
Small group of radical British #Islamists protest outside the Central Mosque in North London. Protesters heavily criticised the recent Syrian peace talks in #Geneva and Western secularism, demanding full Islamic state in #Syria as only solution.

CANVAS AKA OTPOR is back!

The US is strongly pushing the Ukraine EU integration just as it had been behind the 2004 failed “Orange Revolution” to split Ukraine from Russia in a bid to isolate and weaken Russia. Now Ukrainians have found evidence of direct involvement of the Belgrade US-financed training group, CANVAS behind the carefully-orchestrated Kiev protests.
A copy of the pamphlet that was given out to opposition protestors in Kiev has been obtained. It is a word-for-word and picture-for-picture translation of the pamphlet used by US-financed Canvas organizers in the 2011 Cairo Tahrir Square protests that toppled Hosni Mubarak and opened the door to the US-backed Muslim Brotherhood.[1] The photo below is a side-by-side comparison:

remember Pussy Riot? well they and the bombers ofVolgograd .have something in common: both want President Putin removed

'Militants who claimed responsibility for last month's suicide bombings that killed at least 34 people in the city of Volgograd have warned Russians that they faced more attacks if they didn’t rebel against President Vladimir Putin.
Russia faces heightened fears of militant attacks in the run-up to the Sochi Olympics, which start on February 7.
"Gone are the days when it was possible to destroy Muslims gratuitously," the group, Vilayat Dagestan, said on its website. "Today, one mujahid could destroy dozens or even hundreds of people in your cities. And do not think that these are isolated cases and that you will not feel the losses. The number of such bombings will only grow, and they will overtake many of you."'

better than Amnesty INTL: syrian news anchor grills the 'rebels'

The popular Syrian news anchor, working for the state-sponsored al-Ikhbariya TV, never misses an opportunity to confront the opposition delegation.
With a loud and agitated voice, she asks tough questions in press conferences and she challenges statements the opposition representatives make in the more informal media hub, the garden of the UN headquarters.
"Can you tell me why the armed groups [you support] are holding women and children hostage in Homs?" she yells to an opposition spokesman, referring to the city where rebel-held areas have been besieged by government troops for 18 months.
"You claim you want to stop the fighting, but do you have control over the armed groups?" she asks another.

Dear Mr Clark,

I just wished to state that I really enjoyed reading your article that appeared in RT concerning the West's double standards (when it comes to ultra nationalists and homosexuality).
I would have posted this on RT but I didnt want to be forced to sign in.
I thought the article would have been complete if there had been a mention of Russia's ulterior motives behind their support of Mr Yanukovich. But if you had mentioned that I dont know if it would have been published.
I dont use Twitter but if I did I would certainly 'folow' you.
best wishes,

Alex

Hi Brian, Thanks very much for those- very interesting. What's happening now in Ukraine very reminiscent of Yugoslavia in 2000.
