The Empire meets its Stalingrad

There's much talk about how the Empire has become embroiled in a new Vietnam. That's really understating it. The Empire has met its Stalingrad. As the Third Reich's quest for global hegemony was checked at Stalingrad sixty years ago, so the Project for a New American Century has hit the buffers in Baghdad. All Imperial warlords make one false step. Hitler's- like Napoleon's- was invading Russia. Richard Perle's was invading Iraq.

The game's certainly up all right. But the sad thing is, its working class Americans who have paid the blood price, not fat-cat millionaires like Perle and the other architects of the invasion.
