Murder Most Foul

Can anyone can give me a good reason why the perpetrators of this appalling crime should not face the death penalty?

By Wesley Johnson and Charlie Hamilton

The woman police officer murdered by armed robbers in Bradford had been in the force for just nine months, it emerged today.
Sharon Beshenivsky, 38, who had three children and two step-children, was gunned down on her youngest daughter’s fourth birthday as she arrived at the raid in a travel agent’s shop.
Detectives are hunting three men armed with a gun and a knife who held up the shop and escaped with cash
Police also revealed that a man and a woman were arrested in London at 8.30am today in connection with the murder.
Pc Beshenivsky had been a community police officer for two years before joining the full-time West Yorkshire force. She died after being shot in the chest, Chief Constable Colin Cramphorn said.

No real objections to the death penalty for police killers, paedo's, Tony Blair etc, but it's not exactly a good deterrent as the US shows.

Why not just arm the bloody police then they wouldn't get shot? Australia does it, Aussie cops all carry .38 revolvers, the cops are much safer and we aren't a police state.

The "pro war Left" only supports the Iraq war because of the oil and is concerned of Britains overall strategic position as regards other powers such as Russia and China.

I would prefer to disarm the criminal, rather than arm the police. In the days before capital punishment was abolished, robbers used to search themselves to make sure none were carrying firearms; now the use of firearms is standard. As to capital punishment not being a good deterrent- I think it can act as one for certain crimes.

My gut instinct is to support the death penalty for murderers and people guilty of child cruelty & animal cruelty, but at the same time too often the wrong people are caught. However, I think life should mean life- what's the point of calling sentences life if the person who commits the crime comes out of jail on two legs & not in a wooden box?

If this is the dumb, uncritical level this blog is at, I'm soon going to drop reading it. Who cares particularly that it was a pig who died? All thugs, female or otherwise. It is the SYSTEM which pits people against each other, and metes out brutality to THOUSANDS each DAY. Who decided that this oppressor deserves special consideration? Why are you spending the LEAST time discussing her death, as opposed to countless others more deserving? What clods you are to be manipulated.

Keep your eye on *capitalism* -- not on each other.
Sheesh!

As for death penalty: how many millions must the capitalists murder before THEY swing?

Comandante Gringo- stop trying to make heroes out of lumpenproletarian scum which leftie poseurs like you love to glorify. The criminal classes are just the bastard offspring of Thatcherism- selfish petit bourgeois degenerates par excellence. Karl Marx would have nothing with Che Guvara T-shirt wearing numbskulls like yourself. Go back to selling third rate rags outside student unions. If the blokes who killed that "pig" turned up on your door step you'd mess your pants & be on the phone to your local cop shop before you could say "the capitalists are the real criminals."
